Terms & Conditions
The terms that apply when you use Essencesia, in plain language where we can manage it.
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or using Essencesia, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree with them, please don't use the app.
2. The service
Essencesia is a meditation, sleep, music and mindful-movement app, organized into seven worlds: Meditate, Sleep, Music, For Work, Wisdom, Essencesia Kids, and Movement. It's designed to support everyday calm and rest — it is not a medical device or a mental health treatment.
3. Accounts & eligibility
- You need to be at least 16 years old to create your own Essencesia account.
- Essencesia Kids content is intended to be used by children together with a parent or guardian's account, not as a standalone account for a child.
- You're responsible for keeping your login details secure, and for anything that happens under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate information when you sign up, including a working email address for verification.
4. Free trial & billing
- New subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. You choose a monthly or annual plan up front, but you won't be charged until the trial ends.
- We'll email you a reminder before your trial ends. If you don't cancel before then, your chosen plan begins billing automatically.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
- You can cancel anytime from your account settings — cancelling stops future billing but doesn't refund the current period.
- Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and may be subject to applicable taxes.
5. Acceptable use
When using Essencesia, please don't:
- Share your account with people outside your household, or resell access to the app.
- Attempt to copy, redistribute, or download audio content outside of the app's own offline-listening feature.
- Interfere with the app's security, attempt to reverse-engineer it, or access it through unauthorized automated means.
- Use the app for anything unlawful, or in a way that could harm Essencesia, other users, or third parties.
6. Intellectual property
All audio, text, design and branding in Essencesia belongs to EseSphere Limited or its licensors. Your subscription gives you a personal, non-transferable right to use the app for your own listening — it doesn't transfer ownership of any content to you.
7. Wellness disclaimer
Talks, sessions and stories in Essencesia reflect the views of their individual creators and are provided for general wellbeing purposes only.
8. Limitation of liability
Essencesia is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, EseSphere Limited isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Termination
You can stop using Essencesia and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse the service, or engage in fraudulent billing activity, with notice where reasonably possible.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the app evolves. If we make a material change, we'll notify active subscribers by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use Essencesia after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, reflecting EseSphere Limited's registration in the United Kingdom.
